Privacy note
Matchday Primer · last updated 3 October 2026
Short version: you log your own training, food and how you feel. Only you can see it. Nothing is sold, shared or used for ads, and you can delete your account and all your data at any time.
Who runs this
Matchday Primer is a small personal project run by James Fahy, currently being trialled with a handful of GAA players. If you have any questions or want something removed, contact James directly.
What we store
- Your account: your email address and a password. Passwords are stored encrypted by our login provider; nobody can read them.
- What you choose to log: training and match sessions, shots, gym and cardio sessions, food, your weight and goal settings, daily check-ins (sleep, legs, energy), sore spots and resting heart rate if you enter it.
- On your device: your browser keeps you logged in and remembers small settings (like which tab you were on). There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Some of this (soreness, heart rate, weight) is health-related. We only store it because you choose to enter it, and you agree to that when you create your account. You can leave any of it blank.
Why we store it
Only to run the app for you: to show your stats, charts, recovery score and history, and to keep a weekly backup so you don't lose your data.
Who can see it
- You. Every account is locked so a player can only ever see their own data. Other players can't see yours.
- James, as the person who runs the app, can technically access the database. He'll only look if needed to fix a problem or if you ask him to.
- Nobody else. Your data is never sold, shared with clubs or coaches, or used for advertising.
Where it's kept
Accounts and data are stored by Supabase on servers in the EU (Ireland region). The website itself is hosted by Netlify.
How long
Until you delete your account. If the trial ends or the app shuts down, all data will be deleted and players will be told beforehand.
Your choices
- Get a copy: at the bottom of any page in the app, tap ⤓ Download a copy.
- Delete everything: tap Delete my account at the bottom of any page. Your account and all your data are removed for good, straight away.
- Ask a question or make a complaint: contact James. You also have the right to complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission.
